The Center for Information Security Awareness (CFISA) announces a new InfraGard Awareness FREE Cyber Security Awareness training course. The course is offered to provide basic cybersecurity awareness training information. The four-lesson course is free for individuals. Security awareness training is designed to help reduce the risk of data breaches or data loss, whether through negligence or deliberate attack.
The course is based on the extensive investigative cybercrime experience of Michael Levin, CEO and Founder of CFISA. Levin is a former Secret Service agent and former Deputy Director of the National Cyber Security Division of the Department of Homeland Security. CFISA is offering the course in partnership with InfraGard.

“This new free security awareness course provides basic training for all citizens to help reduce the risk of cybercrime,” Levin says. “Phishing and ransomware are significant risks to everyone and it is critical to educate employees on how their actions can contribute to data breaches.” The goal of this free CFISA course is to enhance each employee’s awareness of their own role in securing their information and helping to reduce costly cyber-crime.
The four-lesson course includes the following lessons:
- Introduction to Cyber Security Awareness
- Strong Passwords Increase Security
- Understanding and Recognizing Social Engineering
- Phishing and Email Best Practices
