BOCA RATON, FLA. (PRWEB) JUNE 21, 2019
The Boca Raton-based Center for Information Security Awareness (CFISA) has offered to provide free cyber security awareness training to the Riviera Beach City employees.
Recently the City of Riviera Beach has agreed to pay $600,000.00 in ransom to hackers that took over the City’s computer system. The ransomware attack was a result of an employee clicking on a phishing email that was received on the City computer system.
CFISA recommends that the City of Riviera Beach immediately provide all City employees with cyber security awareness training to greatly help to reduce the risk of future data breaches. The City of Riviera Beach will now be a target for additional ransomware attacks because hackers now know that the City will pay the ransom.
“The City of Riviera Beach must provide all City employees with an immersive in person on site cyber security awareness training session to insure they practice cyber security best practices” said Michael Levin, the founder of the Center for Information Security Awareness.
Michael Levin is a nationally known cyber security professional who spent over twenty-two years in the U.S. Secret Service protecting Presidents and Heads of State. Michael retired from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – as the Deputy Director of the National Cyber Security Division in Washington DC.
Michael has provided training to thousands of employees over the last ten years. His interactive training style helps to teach and encourage employee participation and “buy in” with security best practices.
With this training all employees will better understand:
